Washington DC in September

Not the best time of year to visit as it was very very hot and very very humid, but here we were, it was on our path to New England and I really wanted to see my cousins and visit the museums. Cousin Katharine and I spent a whole day together which was so great. I managed to get in a lot of museums in a short period of time as I was a woman on a mission. African-American History, Smithsonian, Hirshhorn, Native American History, National Gallery of Art, American History, Archives, Natural History (in picture), Air and Space and the Portrait Gallery. Matt was able to see half of these since he was still working but we also visited the monuments at night which was beautifully lit up. I got a lunch in with another cousin, Alex too. Of course we explored other areas and we enjoyed amazing cuisine such as Afghanistan and Lebanese. I have lots of pictures from this trip and more notes I’m happy to share if you have any questions.
